Key Progress Indicators
- Public art installation: The City of Bloomington installed O.T. 987 in April 2025, the first large-scale public art installation in the Trades District. This permanent sculpture by Berlin-based artist Stefan Reiss stands as a landmark at the district's entrance, featuring illuminated beams to activate its surroundings.
- Community activation: The project team successfully launched the first annual community event, the Trades District Block Party, on November 7, 2025. The outdoor festival featured music, food, arts, and showcased business and technology, providing a high-visibility event to introduce the community to the district's vision and progress.
