Regional Economic Development (RED) Fund

Is your project eligible for a RED Fund grant?

Are you seeking funding for an IU-affiliated project that will contribute to economic growth in Indiana? Since 2011, the Regional Economic Development (RED) Fund has awarded more than $120,000 in grant monies to qualifying projects such as:

Proposals approved by CREED are eligible to receive cost-share grants of up to $2,500. All proposals must have prior approval of the regional campus CREED representative. Be sure to contact your representative before submitting a proposal.

Guidelines

Awards are typically capped at an upper limit of $2,500.

All proposals must:

Receive support from an affiliated campus organization or an academic school or department
Gain prior approval of the regional campus CREED representative
Provide cost-matching cash and in-kind resources for the amount requested

You must provide a minimum cash match of 25 percent combined with up to 75 percent of allowable in-kind contributions such as services, materials, or other donations.

Proposals that qualify for RED Fund support are reviewed by CREED representatives before awards are issued. Contact your regional campus CREED representative for more information.
