Indiana University Public Policy Institute

The Indiana University Public Policy Institute (PPI) is a research institute in SPEA that is focused on improving the quality of life in Indiana by providing objective, data-driven research to help public, private, and nonprofit sectors make better decisions. PPI has research expertise in areas such as criminal justice, public safety, housing and community development, land use and the environment, and economic development.

The goal of the PPI’s Policy Choices Initiative is to encourage discussions among government, nonprofit, and private sector leaders about issues that are or will be critical to Indiana’s future—to provide policy options for action.
