PPI has research expertise in areas such as criminal justice, public safety, housing and community development, land use and the environment, and economic development.
The goal of the PPI’s Policy Choices Initiative is to encourage discussions among government, nonprofit, and private sector leaders about issues that are or will be critical to Indiana’s future—to provide policy options for action.

The Indiana Business Research Center (IBRC) works with a variety of clients in business, government, and nonprofit sectors on reports and data analysis projects. The center helps Indiana leaders make better decisions by providing insights in a variety of publications that assess the state’s economic health. IBRC also works closely with the U.S. Economic Development Administration to develop data resources frequently used by the economic development community.
