We create partnerships that help keep the nation secure
The Office of the Vice President for University Relations helps facilitate educational and research partnerships between Indiana University and Department of Defense and Homeland Security agencies, including:
- NSWC Crane educational partnership
- NSA Crane applied research agreement
- Indiana National Guard partnership
As two of the largest economic anchors in southwest central Indiana, IU and NSWC Crane are deeply engaged. We have launched a number of research partnerships and are collaborating to set up an Applied Research Institute to further advance our partnerships.
Our office also assists with developing teaming agreements between IU and Department of Defense agencies and defense contractors who wish to work with the resources of IU faculty, staff, students, and labs. IU provides expertise and capabilities in areas such as cybersecurity, energy storage, big data, global and international studies and languages, and life sciences.
