Indiana University contributes a wealth of resources that improve quality of life for Hoosiers. We’re committed to being great stewards of place in the communities in which IU resides.

IU’s celebrated programs in music, visual arts, theatre, dance, and creative writing illuminate our cultural landscape and make Indiana a more attractive place to live and work. And our world-class medical facilities ensure residents have access to some of the best doctors, health care facilities, and hospitals in the nation.

Our world-famous Jacobs School of Music attracts the brightest young talent and most accomplished musical faculty. The school offers more than 1,100 classical, jazz, and opera performances a year, many in the renowned Musical Arts Center.

Indiana University offers top-quality health care resources, including IU Health, the state’s most comprehensive health care system. IU Health, through its partnership with the IU School of Medicine, gives patients access to innovative treatments and therapies. Facilities in Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Evansville are helping to expand access throughout the state.

The IU Eskenazi Museum of Art and the Mathers Museum of World Cultures in Bloomington, the Herron Galleries in Indianapolis, and an art center in Columbus are among more than 30 cultural venues IU offers around the state. We’re taking steps to make our arts and humanities resources more broadly accessible as community resources.

We’re linking Indiana to the world with our international programs and outreach. IU offers nearly 70 languages and more than 300 overseas study programs. We’re home to two national language resource centers and three Department of Defense language flagship programs. Our Global Gateway Network offices around the globe act as portals that facilitate access to international opportunities for IU faculty and students, while also allowing internationally based students, alumni, and partners to connect with us.
